Creative Writing Workshops
As a children’s fiction author and former elementary school teacher, I absolutely love working with young writers and would be delighted to visit your students! (Up to 30 per class. Students will also have the opportunity to buy books and have them signed.)
I offer three Creative Writing Workshops:
· Create Authentic Characters
· Show, Don’t Tell
· Become a Critique Partner
Choose between two age groups:
· Grades 3-5
· Grades 6-8
Author Visits
Unlike Creative Writing Workshops, author visits are short in length but equally as fun! (Up to 30 per class.)
An author visit will include:
· A writing and publishing Q&A session
· An excerpt reading from one of my books
· An opportunity to buy books and have them signed.
Creative Writing Workshop Testimonials
“…My students were talking about how much they enjoyed her presentation all day, and the classroom teacher spoke volumes about how engaging she was. Robyn really sparked a love for writing in a very diverse group of students…She truly has a passion for writing and her enthusiasm is contagious. I would absolutely and without hesitation have her back to inspire more of my students.”
-Ashley, middle school counselor
“Having Robyn visit our fourth graders was a game-changing experience. She ignited a passion in our students for writing and developing characters. After her visit, we saw an increase in our students’ desires to write. I am so grateful that our students have the opportunity to learn from her.”
-Sarah, fourth grade teacher
